 Today, my 11th research scholar, Prakash Kamble, currently working as Assistant Professor & IQAC Coordinator, Satara, has successfully defended his Ph.D. Thesis on Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and awarded Ph.D. in English by SRTM University Nanded. I am grateful to the my friend Prof. Dr. Dilip Chavan, HoD & Director, School of Language, Literature and Cultural Studies who chaired viva-voce and Dr. Sheetal Tayde, the External Examiners for meticulously evaluating his thesis and conducting viva-voce. I wish Dr. Praksh all the best for his future endeavours.

 At the Indo-Pak (Attari-Wagah) border. It is a border crossing between India and Pakistan located on the Grand Trunk Road, with the Indian side in Attari, Punjab, and the Pakistani side in Wagah. It is the only legal land route for trade and passage between the two countries and is famous for its daily "Beating Retreat" ceremony where soldiers from both sides lower their flags in a high-energy patriotic display.  At Jallian Wala Bagh which is a historic garden and memorial of national importance close to the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab, India, preserved in the memory of those wounded and killed in the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre that took place on the site on the festival of Baisakhi Day, 13 April 1919. The 7-acre (28,000 m2) site houses a museum, gallery and several memorial structures. On 13 April 1919, a large crowd had gathered at the Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, Punjab, British India, during the annual Baisakhi fair to protest against the Rowlatt Act. Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer ordered to shoot at the crowd, continuing to fire even as the protestors tried to flee. The troops kept on firing until their ammunition was low and they were ordered to stop.Estimates of those killed vary from 379 to 1,500 including hundreds  seriousely injured. The level of casual brutality and the lack of any accountability stunned the entire nation resulting in a wrenching loss of faith of the general Indian public in the intentions of the United Kingdom. #jalianwala, #amritsar

 Happy to share that my daughter Apurva and presently a full-time Doctoral Research Scholar of Central University of Karnataka (CUK), received today two cash prices for obtaining highest percentage and grade in her M.A. English (University topper-1st) at the hands of Hon'ble State and Gaurdian Minister Meghnatai Sakore- Bordikar, Hon'ble Vice-chancellor, Pro- Vice-chancellor, Registrar, Members of the Management Council in a special programme organised by the university in the Senate of SRTM University.

My daughter Apurva joined as a full-time doctoral research scholar in English at Central University of Karnataka (CUK). With Professor & Head, Dr. Donur, Dr. Balikai. On way, also visited Shri.
