We all have gone through the initial sense of shock, then anger, alarm, and at that juncture acceptance of this global pandemic. Amidst this pandemic, there’s a bit of sadness, of restraints, and acceptance of the ‘New Normal’. Hence, Diwali 2020 would be slightly different as the pandemic is still in our minds, our outlooks about home, our friends, our official duties and work which have in turn undergone a remarkable shift. I honestly wish that this Diwali-2020 will bring some relief from the gloom that the Covid-19 pandemic has brought to all of us. Wishing you a gleam of diyas, echo of holy chants, contentment and happiness today, tomorrow and forever! Have a happy, prosperous and safe Diwali, 2020.

NATIONAL LEVEL ESSAY COMPETITION on "COVID-19 as a Threat to Humanity"

Dear Sir/Madam,

The outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) has created a global health crisis that has had a deep impact on the way we perceive our world and our everyday lives. Not only the rate of infection and patterns of transmission threatens our sense, but even the safety measures like lockdown and social distancing by refraining from doing what is inherently human put us in a bitter predicament. Within this context, it is the need of time to contemplate on what has been (and can be) the role of individual, society, Govt and the different agencies to face and eradicate this global ill. Within this framework, we have organized one NATIONAL LEVEL ESSAY COMPETITION through online mode. 

You are requested to forward this flyer to your students and inform them to write an essay addressing different issues of coronavirus (COVID-19) as a threat to humanity and send to us.  

• The essay competition is open to all UG & PG students of any faculty studying in any college/university of India.

• The content for the competition should only be in English.

• The contestants should send their submissions before 1st June 2020. 

• The Essay should be typed in Times New Roman with font size 12 and 1.5 line spacing not exceeding 4 pages.

• The Essay should be original and free from plagiarism. 

• The toppers who secure the first fifteen places will be honoured with cash awards of Rs 1000/-, 500/- & 251/-, E certificates as well as print certificates respectively.

• Results will be declared on 10th June 2020 and will be published on the college website as well as on social networks and communicated to all the contestants through email.

• Students have to furnish their personal details including cell number, email, details of name of institution and class of study and have to send a photocopy of their institution Identity Card along with word attachment of easy.

• The Principal, any teacher can forward essays written by their students.

• There is No registration/entry fees for this competition.
